Parish Offices Hours
for St Charles & St Joseph
- The Parish Offices are located at the St Joseph campus
(please use the 180 Locust Street entrance, parking is shared with the mcNeill, Taylor and Gallo Professional Associates) and are open for your service at the following times: Monday thru Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm (generally closed for lunch from 12pm-1pm)

Administrative Staff
- Fr Marc Gagne is the current pastor.
- He is the final authority and sets the vision for the spiritual benefit of St Joseph, St Charles, and our mission chapel, the Chapel of the Nativity. All personnel are ultimately accountable to the Pastor.
- Fr Marc also oversees the parishes in general, major repairs and renovations, RCIA, Family Faith Formation, office administration, development, procedure, scheduling, Liturgy & Music, and St Mary Academy.
- Sr Lorraine Choiniere, P.A., is the Administrator of the Chapel of the Nativity.
- She oversees the day to day operations of the chapel, religious education (grades 1-10, and the sacramental preparation for First Communion, Reconciliation, and Confirmation)
- Sr Lorraine also is an active Team member of the RCIA for the Dover area parishes.

St. Joseph Church is situated in the southern section of Dover, NH. Our parish officially began on October 12, 1945 when Bishop Matthew F. Brady established St. Joseph Parish to serve those people living on the south side of the Cocheco River in Dover. Land for the church was donated to the parish by the Herbert Carberry family whose relatives continue to reside next door to the church.

In late March of 1955, the Chancery in Manchester had assigned the 20-25 Catholic families then residing in Barrington to the Parish of St. Joseph's in Dover . Shortly thereafter, Father Desmond of St. Joseph 's met with a census group in order to develop plans for the identification and organization of Barrington Catholic families, as a prerequisite to the formalization of a Catholic community. Among those attending this first meeting with Father Desmond were Mr. & Mrs. John Bates, Mrs. John Cook, Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Keefe, Mrs. George Lenzi, Mr. Herbert Meatty, Sr., Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Menten and Terry Smith.
