What is a Cursillo?

Cursillo (pronounced kur-see-yo) Christianity is a movement that, through a method of its own tries to, and through God's grace manages to; enable the essential realities of the Christian to come to life in the uniqueness, originality, and creativity of each person.  In becoming aware of their potential and while accepting their limitations they exercise their freedom by their conviction, strengthen their will with their decision, to propitiate friendship in virtue of their constancy in both their personal and community life.

Respect Life PDF Print E-mail

Our Respect Life Mission is to implement the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops Plan for Pro-Life Activities in our parish, with the support of the Diocese of Manchester Respect Life team.  "Basic human rights are violated in many ways: by abortion and euthanasia, by injustice and the denial of equality to individuals or various groups of persons, by some forms of human experimentation, by neglect of the underprivileged and disadvantaged who deserve society's concern and support. But society's responsibility to ensure and protect human rights demands recognition and protection of the right to life as antecedent to all other rights, and the necessary condition for their realization. It is unlikely that efforts to protect other rights will ultimately be successful if life itself is continually diminished in value."  We work in partnership with Seacoast Birthright and Options for Women, our local pregnancy help centers.

Liturgical Ministers PDF Print E-mail

Liturgy is the source and summit of our faith.  Vatican II called for full, active, conscious participation in the Mass.  One way to live out this call is to become intimately involved in the Mass though service as an Altar Server, Master of Ceremony, Lector, and Extraordinary Minister of Communion.  If you have musical talent, try involvement in a Music Ministry.  If personal prayer is your strong suit, become active with the Prayer Network.
